I’m a degree qualified civil engineer with a great deal of experience in highway and transport design. Over the last four years I’ve brought my hobby into the workplace and see 3D design and visualisation becoming more and more relevant and important, particularly with regard to public consultation and design options. To date I have been producing images and ‘fly through’ videos, but have started to experiment with realtime environments using the Unreal engine and Sketchfab.
As well as highways work, I've undertaken some architectural and interior design work. I also have an ongoing project to produce an accurate, period correct race track for a racing simulator.
All my work is done to scale, to great accuracy, using topographical and/or LiDAR data, and CAD designs/drawings.
